Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell is an American chef-turned-tv personality, as well as a former teacher at the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Cook she demonstrates easy-to-master methods and her signature hairstyles that are spiky and blond. Chef Burrell has also worked in several of the city's most prestigious restaurants, studied Italian cuisine along with its traditional recipes, and took part in Food Network Iron Chef America. As a child in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was fascinated by food. Her passion was for the industry of restaurant management by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. She says "I loved being a Culinary Institute Of America student. I loved every minute of it." I was unable to learn enough, didn't accomplish enough, and I couldn't put in the effort enough. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell spent a year in Italy studying at Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners during her time at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. While in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate Italian way of life and its culture and this has left an impression on her perception of food. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador to the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She has served on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists children who are struggling. As a speaker, Burrell travels across the nation to share her passion for cooking and food, as well as to talk about her profession in culinary. Through the course of her cooking career, Anne has said, "I feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share what I love most within my life with other people.
